
Graduated from the School of Tourism of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. She worked in the tourism sector, in private sector activities, until February 1987, when she joined the public administration as TEAT in the Island Council of La Palma, leading the island’s tourism promotion. She managed the Island Tourism Board for 23 years. Since 2010, she has been part of the Tourism Service of the Council, where she is responsible for tourism product development activities. She managed the Competitiveness Plan “Canary Islands a Volcanic Experience II” (2011-2013) and coordinated the tourism aspect of the Special Action Program for La Palma approved by the Ministry of Tourism in 2013. Among other tasks, she coordinated the insular Tourism Sector Council’s tourism product tables, responsible for creating tourism products in La Palma: Astrotourism, Active Tourism, Nature, Gastronomy, and Culture. From 2017 to 2022, she managed the Interreg Europe “NIGHT LIGHT” program, improving regional policies to reduce light pollution and protect and value the dark night sky. She has been a speaker at national and international scientific events, advocating for La Palma’s tourism positioning regarding its natural and sports resources and as an astrotourism destination. Currently retired, she collaborates with various social initiatives.
