Antonio Ángel Moreno González

PhD in Tourism, Economics, and Management. Master in Public Health. Bachelor of Tourism. Bachelor of Dental Sciences. Lecturer at CIFP Virgen de las Nieves (La Palma, Canary Islands). Member of the University Institute of Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development (TIDES) of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He has conducted visiting stays at universities in the UK, New Zealand, Sweden, and Canada; and benchmarking activities in renowned health tourism destinations such as Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, Hungary, and Iceland, among others. His research areas of interest in dentistry include epidemiology, oral public health, and teaching methods for the training of the oral health team. In tourism, he researches health tourism from an interdisciplinary perspective, with a special focus on tourists’ preferences, destination image, and the public-private management of health tourism destinations. Additionally, he studies the influence of tourism on residents’ health and the health systems of the destination and how these factors impact its sustainability.
