Edvina Barreto Cabrera

Architect from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Her final project was selected for the III Architecture Award of the La Caixa Foundation. Her professional experience has been linked to the architecture studio Espinet & Ubach Arquitectes (1985-1992) and professional practice with her own studio (1992-2002). In the numerous projects and works developed, she has received, among other recognitions: Special mention in the ideas competition for the planning of Plaza de España and its surroundings (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 1992); Selection of the Las Cabezadas viewpoint in Tijarafe for the 10th edition of the Manuel de Oraá y Arcocha Award (2000-2001). Her professional performance as an architect in the public sector has been both in the local administration (Villa de Mazo Town Hall, 1998-2002), with the drafting of various planning instruments, and as Head of the Technical Unit of the Territorial Planning Service of the Island Council of La Palma (Canary Islands) from 2002 to the present.
